If you’re an ICICI Bank customer, there’s an important update that could impact your wallet. Starting July 1, 2025, ICICI Bank will revise charges on several banking services, including ATM withdrawal charges, cash deposits, cash withdrawals, IMPS, debit card fees, and demand drafts.
These changes are part of the bank’s effort to manage operational costs, improve transparency, and align services with current market standards. But for customers, this means more expenses on basic banking activities.
Here’s everything you need to know about the ATM withdrawal charge changes and other fee hikes coming next month.
ICICI Bank’s New ATM Withdrawal Charges from July 1, 2025
One of the most significant changes is in ATM withdrawal charges. From July 1, 2025:
- ICICI Bank customers will get 5 free ATM transactions per month (financial and non-financial combined) at ICICI Bank ATMs.
- After the free limit is exhausted, you’ll be charged:
- ₹23 per financial transaction (up from ₹21)
- ₹8.50 per non-financial transaction (like balance enquiry)
For ATM usage on other banks’ ATMs:
- In metro cities, customers get 3 free transactions per month
- In non-metro cities, the free limit is 5 transactions per month
- Beyond the free limit, charges will apply:
- ₹23 per financial transaction
- ₹8.50 per non-financial transaction
Key takeaway: Frequent ATM users will now need to be more cautious, as ATM withdrawal charges are increasing, making it more expensive to access your own money.

Changes in Cash Deposit and Cash Withdrawal Charges
ICICI Bank is also revising cash deposit and branch withdrawal fees:
- 3 free cash deposit transactions per month
- After the free limit, a charge of ₹2 per ₹1,000 will be applied
- Minimum: ₹50
- Maximum: ₹15,000
Currently, customers are charged ₹50 for the first ₹10,000 and ₹5 per ₹1,000 thereafter. The new structure increases the cost significantly for regular depositors.
Similarly, only 3 free branch cash withdrawals will be allowed each month. Charges will apply for additional transactions.
IMPS Charges Revised
The bank has also revised the IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) charges, although detailed new rates are yet to be announced. If you frequently transfer money through IMPS, expect higher transaction fees starting in July.
Debit Card Fee Hike
Your ICICI Bank debit card is about to become more expensive:
- Annual fee increased from ₹200 to ₹300
- Replacement card (lost or damaged): Charges increased from ₹200 to ₹300
This 50% hike in debit card-related fees is likely to affect a large portion of ICICI’s retail banking customers.

Demand Draft and Pay Order Charges Also Increased
Planning to issue a demand draft or pay order? Here are the new rates:
- Fee of ₹2 per ₹1,000 for making demand drafts through cheque or bank transfer
- Minimum fee: ₹50
- Maximum fee: ₹15,000
This could be a major concern for businesses and individuals who still rely on traditional methods of payment like demand drafts.
Why ICICI Bank Is Increasing Charges
ICICI Bank has justified these increases by stating the need to:
- Maintain competitive banking services
- Meet customer service demands
- Offset rising operational costs
- Ensure greater pricing transparency
While the bank claims these are necessary adjustments, customers will feel the financial pinch—especially those who perform frequent transactions.

Final Thoughts: Prepare for Higher ATM Withdrawal Charges
The hike in ATM withdrawal charges, along with increased fees for cash deposits, withdrawals, and debit cards, means that ICICI Bank customers must be more strategic with their transactions from July 1, 2025.
If you frequently use ATMs or perform multiple cash-related transactions, consider:
- Reducing the number of withdrawals
- Using digital payment methods where possible
- Keeping track of your free monthly limits
- Planning bulk transactions to avoid repeat charges
